Probably the least 'ready-to-actually-wear' of all the of the Ready To Wear SS19 shows so far, during New York Style Week, but for etherial fantasy dressing, Rodarte is this NYFW season's biggest show-stopper.
Cast your mind back to Haute Couture AW18/19 and you'll remember that haloed girls were a strong talking point. Spectators marvelled as models made their way through a sea of colourful flowers, decked out in the frothiest tulles, the most delicate lace and ostrich feathers, complete with crowns of gypsophila.
And just as we assumed Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte wouldn't be trying to top their Haute Couture collection for the RTW season, we were all proven grossly mistaken.
Held outdoors, even the rain couldn't dull the effect of countless pink tulle dresses (princess-worthy), purple lamé ruffles (a romantic ode to the 80s party girl) and tumbling roses hanging from ringlet curls (as if Marie Antoinette had turned wood nymph).
The collection doesn't need much more introduction, so if you spend time poring over one show this NYFW season, make it this one:
